Glendale – The Glendale Center Theatre presents: The Wizard of Oz. Rediscover the real story of Oz in this fantastic musical treat for the entire family. A premiere for the GCT, they promise a magical, amazing production that you’ll want to see again and again!
North Hollywood – The North Hollywood International Film Festival is offering a series of free outdoor movies all summer long in and around NoHo. The films are free, with fresh popcorn and plenty of space to have a little family picnic. Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed.
Pasadena – Kidspace Stone Hollow Amphitheatre presents YouTube superstar, Patty Shukla perform some of her award-winning children’s music.
Santa Monica – United fOrlando is a LGBT Center presentation at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. This evening benefit of musical performance was created to raise awareness and funds for those affected by the tragedy in Orlando Florida.

Calabasas – Malibu Creek’s Campfire Program is a free informative one-hour event at the campground amphitheater on Saturday evenings. This weekends presentation is Awesome Animals with The Nature of WildWorks!
Hollywood – The Ford Amphitheatre presents Big! World! Fun! This family series is an hour-long music, dance and theatre performance that showcases cultures from all across the world. This weekend enjoy Minyo Station. This blend of traditional Japanese Folk Music with Western Music. Kids are free, adults $5.
Museum Row – Miracle Mile – La Brea Tar Pits Sleepover. Families can spend a night in a world-famous Museum and explore the collections with the help of educators. At Camp Tar Pit, participants learn about the La Brea Tar Pits and the titans that lived during the last Ice Age by experiencing the new Titans of the Ice Age 3D film. Though light snacks are served, dinner is not provided, so campers should eat before they arrive. Minimum age is 5; adult supervision is required so parent(s) must spend the night as well.

Sherman Oaks – Sherman Oaks Galleria Kids Club presents free shows for children and their parents. Each week, a different professional kids’ entertainer and Kids Club MC bring an hour of sing-along, magic or comic fun. This weekend they present the magician Robert Baxt!
Various LA Locations – Lowe’s stores is holding their Lowe’s Build and Grow event. This free event offers craft projects for kids. Kids learn to use tools and infuse their creativity into fun projects. This weekend’s theme is Marvel Comic’s Thor!
Woodland Hills – Warner Park – Movies on the Green Families can enjoy free outdoor movies on Saturdays throughout the summer in Warner Center Park. Films are presented on a 30-foot theatrical screen with digital projection, surround-sound and high resolution digital picture. Saturday night’s show is 2015’s Cinderella.
