Spring has finally arrived in the San Fernando Valley! Celebrate Easter with the family with a number of different activities across Los Angeles and SoCal. From decadent brunches to feverish egg hunts, there is an array of activities for every budget!

Fri March 25th

DTLA – The Captured Aural Phantasy Theater brings a sci-fi comic to life on stage with the use of many mediums, effects and projected art. Shown in 3-D, the viewer gets to experience the comic as it was intended over 60 years ago!
El Monte – Check out Los Angeles County’s largest Spring Festival. LA Spring Fair offers amusement rides, live music, food and so much more! Admission is about $10 and gets you unlimited rides!
Moorpark – Head out to Underwood Family Farms to celebrate their Easter festival . Admission includes a tractor ride and your picture with the Easter Bunny. Join the egg hunt and egg activities.
Reseda – All weekend long the Reseda Rec Center will be hosting a carnival, complete with Carnival rides. So get your cotton candy on in a weekend full of cotton tails.
Woodland Hills – Robins Brothers and Olive Crest are joining forces for the Sparkle and Share Dress Drive
. All bridesmaid, evening gowns and cocktail dress donates are welcome. Your donation will help lower income high school aged girls have a dress for prom. Your donation gets you an entry into a diamond jewelry drawing.

Sat March 26th

Beverly Hills – Join the Canyon Birds Hike at Franklin Canyon Park. Spring is here and the birds are out strutting and singing. Make sure to bring your binoculars to get a better look!
Calabasas – The Calabasas Eggstravaganza returns to Grape Arbor Park! Not only will there be egg hunts, but a petting zoo, crafting, games and more. Participating kiddos will receive a gift bag while supplies last.
DTLA – Put on your favorite Crazy Cat Person sweater and head out to the Cat Art Show in Downtown’s Fashion District. This exhibit takes your cat looking love to a whole new level!
Encino Balboa Sports Complex will be having their annual spring egg hunt – including piano performances and pictures with Peter Cottontail.
Encino – If a historic state park is more your thing, then head to the egg hunt at Los Encinos Historic Park. A tradition that’s been going on for decades, tours will be available, as will be other historic ways of life (i.e. blacksmith demonstrations, and performers in period costume).
Griffith Park – Bring the family out for Big Bunny’s Spring Fling at the LA Zoo! Kids will get to meet some sweet and fuzzy bunnies as well as learn about rabbits.
Pasadena – Come look for easter eggs in the biggest greenspace yet: The Egg Bowl… err Rose Bowl. Live entertainment and all sorts of festivities are planned!
Santa Monica – Head out to the Santa Monica Pier for Wake Up With the Waves. This kid-friendly concert series takes place every Saturday this spring. This interactive music experience is a great opportunity to turn your kids onto music.
Sherman Oaks – The Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Rec Center will be hosting their annual Spring Egg Hunt. Including bouncers, egg dying, cookie decorating and more!
Tarzana – Not to be outdone by the other local rec centers, Tarzana will be hosting their Spring Celebration Saturday as well. Come check it out.
Venice – Take a trip to the beachy community of Venice for Alternative Apparel’s BLCK INK . Local artists showcase their works in many mediums. Blck Ink is a new digital medium for artists from every background.
West Hollywood – The Bengal Bus will provide transportation and parking to the LACMA for a fun filled day of art exploration!
Winnetka – If you’re more on the West Valley, then perhaps the Winnetka Rec Center is the place to be for their egg hunt. Bonus: Help the community by attending the pancake fundraiser as well.

Sun March 27th

Buena Park – Head out to Knott’s Berry Farm for the 64th annual Sunrise Easter Service. Pastor Chris Grant will be the speaker for the service.
Burbank – Head over to The People’s Choice Restaurant at the Burbank Holiday Inn. This Sunday brunch is a full buffet experience with a carving station, desserts and fun activities for the kids. Make your reservation now!
DTLA – The New City Church of LA is celebrating the holiday with their Easter spring festival at Grand Hope Park. Bounce houses, egg hunts and more. Proceeds from ticket sales goes towards helping homeless children in Los Angeles.
Hollywood – Enjoy bottomless Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas at the Magnolia Hollywood.
Santa Monica – Relive your childhood while introducing your little ones to the laughs of Bugs Bunny Cartoon Classics. The American Cinematheque at the Aero Theatre will be showing the most memorable moments in this special holiday matinee with free Easter candy for the kids.
