HOLLYWOOD: SoulfulofNoise Ladies Night — Lucky Strike Hollywood – SoulfulofNoise is a diverse Live Music Experience featuring the best independent artists in Southern California. Includes sock drive for the My Friends House Foundation. Please bring packs of SOCKS to donate. 8 pm. FREE with RSVP.

CHINATOWN, LA: – 120th annual Golden Dragon Parade – begins at the intersection of Hill Street and Ord in Chinatown; ends at Broadway and Cesar Chavez – Come ring in the Chinese Year of the Pig! This colorful and beautiful parade signifies the first day of the lunar new year. And you can take part in the whole Chinese New Year Festival! See the link above. The parade is FREE, though you can pay for grandstand seating.
CULVER CITY: African American Arts Festival – STAR Eco Station – African drumming and dancing, BBQ, local vendors, children’s art exhibits, games, local artists, and live entertainment. FREE entrance to the Art Festival. Tours of the STAR Eco Station: kids 16 and under $6, seniors $7, and adults $8. From 11 am to 4 pm.
LOS ANGELES: Allen Ruppersberg: Intellectual Property 1968-2018 opening night – Hammer Museum – This major retrospective on the work of Conceptual artist Allen Ruppersberg (b. 1944, Cleveland) marks the artist’s first comprehensive US survey in over 30 years. Public tours of the exhibition will be offered every Saturday at 1 p.m. through May 11, 2019. Admission to Hammer is always FREE.

BEVERLY HILLS: Story Pirates – Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts – Bring your toddlers to The Wallis for outdoor, musical sketch comedy based on stories written by children! 11 a.m., FREE.
BURBANK: Harry Potter Ultimate Trivia Party – De Bell Clubhouse Restaurant – Bring your team of 6 people or less to compete for Potter-themed Prizes. Feel free to come dressed as your favorite characters to make the event more fun for you and your team! A full bar and food menu

LOS ANGELES: Galentine’s Day – Malibu Wines & Beer Garden – Leslie Knope fans unite! You don’t have to live in Pawnee to celebrate this 2nd Annual Galentine’s Day, brought to you by the Ladies of Red Lipstick Makeup Studio and The Spicy Life. Bring a wrapped mug, tumbler, or wine glass for a white elephant gift exchange, along with some snacks and a blanket. Wear warm clothes. Two-drink minimum with otherwise FREE admission. 5-9 pm.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD: Farmers Market – City Lot – “Farm-fresh produce, delicious food, baked goods, artisanal products” and more. Every Saturday from 10 am – 3 pm.
SANTA MONICA: Whale of a Weekend– Santa Monica Pier Aquarium – Celebrate the annual migration of the Pacific gray whale at the aquarium. There will be indoor and outdoor activities, including whale spotting, of course! $5 admission for adults; kids 13 and under FREE. Continues through Feb. 17.
PASADENA: Black History Parade & Festival – The 37th annual Black History Parade honors the achievements and history of African Americans. After the parade, stick around for the festival featuring food, merchandise booths, a kids’ play area, and music. The parade starts at Ventura and Fair Oaks and ends at Jackie Robinson Park Recreation Center on Hammond and Fair Oaks. FREE.

CALABASAS: Malibu Creek State Park Bird Walk – Grab some binoculars and join the bird walk in Malibu Creek State Park. Parking is $12. The walk is from 8-11:30 am.
