Fri May 26th

SANTA MONICA – Join the numerous entertainment stages at the seaside arts and crafts festival for Memorial Day. Kiddies carnival, petting zoo, extensive food court and Beer and Wine Garden are included at the Fiesta Hermosa starting 10am until 6pm.

CENTRAL LA – Karen Golden brings songs and stories for the whole family this Friday as a start of the Memorial Day weekend. The event starts at 10am and if you want to visit, see more info at the Memorial Branch Library.

ENCINO – Practice your English in a small group this Friday or maybe refer the event if you have someone who can use a ‘Conversation English Language’ lesson at the Encino – Tarzana Branch Library from 2:00pm to 3:00pm.

DTLA – Come downtown for a Fast Friday Film Screening with many other film lovers. At the Little Tokyo Branch Library, there will be free action film screenings with many film stars. For everyone interested, see the details here.

CENTRAL LA – This Friday at the Washington Irving Branch Library starting 12:30pm to 2:00pm there will be tutors available for one-on-one meetings with students interested in English spelling, pronunciation, writing and conversation. MID-VALLEY – Spend an active Saturday morning with ZUMBA! Lessons at the Mid-Valley Regional Library. Starting at 9:30am everyone’s welcome for an hour of dancing with Lula. Check out more here.

HOLLYWOOD HILLS – Celebrate Memorial Day at the family-friendly ceremony of honoring veterans up the Hollywood Hills this Monday. The program starts at 10am until 11am and the highlights will be: Keynote Address, Presidential Proclamation, Rifle Salute, Pledge of Allegiance, Invocation, Color Guard, Patriotic Music, and Wreath Laying. Except for the full program and good mood, you can also expect free souvenirs and refreshments.

GLENDALE – Starting at 1pm you will have the chance to honor Memorial Day with Rifle Salute, Pledge of Allegiance, Patriotic Music, many free souvenirs and a lot of positive energy at Glendale.
