Beverly Hills- Yelp and Heritage Fine Wines are helping you get your wine on with some education. This is the Somm Series. If you are lacking wine knowledge you need to go here. Event is educational and free. When’s the last time Beverly Hills and free were in the same sentence.
DTLA-Vista Hermosa Natural Park is doing some Stargazing. Jupiter the giant is ready for his close up. Also see the beautiful moon as the sun lights it up. Event is free.
DTLA- LA Live is making your Friday nights interesting. Come on down for free music, performances and vendors. Event is free but there are lots of $5 food vendors to fill your hunger needs.
DTLA- Art is all around you and The Gabba Gallery is going to show you a Kool Layed project. This collection shows art in a collage form. Very interesting and enjoyable. Event is free.
Pasadena-Pasadena Museum of California Art wants you to try them for free. Spend the day getting some education on art. Enjoy.
San Marino-If English isn’t your first language or you know someone who is in need of learning English come on down to the Crowell Public Library. Classes are on Fridays and are free.

Sat Feb 7th

Beverly Hills-Franklin Canyon has been the backdrop for everything in Hollywood from movies to commercials to long running TV series. See where some of your favorites were filmed and learn about the lands around you. Event is free.
Burbank-It’s the grand opening of the Recycle Center and they are having a party. See how things work, ask and expert and get some refreshment. Fun for the whole family. Event is free.
DTLA-The cool chill of the air blows through your car as a movie plays on a giant movie screen. Sounds like your kind of evening? Come on down and see The African Queen. Tickets are $7 but that comes with a lot and freebies too.
Echo Park-If you like animation and comedy mixed together, this is for you. Echoes Under Sunset is hosting Picture This! It is insane, weird and a good time. Event is free.
Griffith Park-Time for free admission to The Autry Museum for all Bank of America card members. Enjoy panning for gold, community bead working and other fun things.
Silverlake-Helix Collection’s Happy Hour wants you to enjoy a free evening of entertainment on them. There will be music and liquor. Good times to be had by all.
West LA-The Craft and Folk Art Museum is hosting the 4th Annual Benefit Trunk Show. This wonderful and unique trunk show helps the museum raise funds for its projects. Stop by to get some interesting, on-of-a-kind items for your home. Event is free.

Beverly Hills-Taking that perfect nature shot seem impossible? Capture a Nature Moment will help you with your struggles. Bring a camera and your walking shoes to learn tricks of the trade from the experts. Event is free.
DTLA-Celebrate Black History Month with a free admission into the California African American Museum. Learn of the contributions made to society and the struggle that were overcome.
Northridge-Tis the season for taxes. Why not get a tune up of knowledge on what is new this year with a free tax return workshop. CSUN facilitating this event to help you help yourself. Event is free.
Pasadena-Pacific Asia Museum wants you! Check out this unique museum and enjoy the festivities for the Chinese New year. Event is free.
San Marino-Ever wanted to get into Opera but were scared off by the Opera snobs. Have no fear! LA Opera Talk is meeting at the Crowell Library to discuss the Barber of Seville. This noir opera is a great place to start. Event is free and class ranges from novice to experts.
West LA-Craft and Folk Art Museum is hosting an exhibit entitled, Iranian Photography Past & Present. A picture is worth a thousand words and seeing a country de-evolve over the decades will leave you speechless. Event is free.
West LA- Summer is not too far off and the Skirball Center would like you to think about your summer plans for your kids. The 8-18 year old group is invited down to a camp fair. Come find out what you want to do with your vacation. Event is free

DTLA-Looking for a little something different this Valentine’s Day weekend. Come down to REDCAT and see Vicente Razo in his Fourth Session of Administrative Poetry. This series is very thought provoking and highlights the plight of the Hispanic people. Event is free.
DTLA- Stressed out about Valentine’s Day? Come on down to Lunchtime Yoga. Leave your stresses behind as you plank and downward dog your way to a more serene mind. Event is free.
Hollywood-Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice was one of her most famous novels. Now see it live on stage at the Actors Co-op Theater Company. See the struggles of love the night before Valentine’s Day. Event is free.

DTLA-Start Valentine’s day off with an outdoor activity. Big Cats of the Mountain shows you how there are these cats even in our area. This event is for the whole family. Event is free.
DTLA-As you celebrate the day of love think about the important things like the things around you. Come on down to Marsh Park and roast marshmallows. There will be song, hiking and roasting. Event is free and for the whole family.
Hollywood-Frank Lloyd Wright change modern architecture. Now is famed Hollyhock House is ready for its public debut. It’s a 24 hour celebration with a ribbon cutting by the mayor and everything. Event is free.
North Hollywood-The IASTE Local 800 or more commonly called the Art Directors Guild Gallery 800 is proud to present ‘’Abstract’’ Art. Grace them with your presents and they will give you drinks, refreshment and live music and art. Event is free.
South Pasadena- Cookies & Cream is back with more artsy stuff. They are inviting all professional and armature artists to do a popular character mashup. Bring your stuff or come to see all the cool things people have created while you eat ice cream. Event is free.

Beverly Hills-To literally be able to walk in the footsteps of the native people of the land is amazing. Native Ways will do just that. Step back in time and see what it was like in a Chumash home and what daily life consisted of. Event is free.
Glassell Park-L.A. Zinefest is a gathering of writers of all genres that self-publish. Meet with other like-minded people who don’t need a big publishing company to get it done. Event is free.
Hollywood-End the weekend with some crafty family time. Barnsdall Park wants to get everyone together to make some art. Make it and take it home to enjoy. Event is free.
Hollywood Hills-President’s day is not just a day off work but a remembrance of the forming of our country. Come to Forest Lawn to see the Massing of Color. This beautiful event combines all service branches plus the voluntary ones too. Event is free and for the whole family.
