What a beautiful season we are in! Just enough rain to turn the city around us green….but mostly beautiful California sunshine so that we can enjoy our days outdoors! Check out below for things-to-do in the next couple weeks of February!

 

 

Sat Feb 4

All Locations – Every Saturday, at all Williams-Sonoma locations, they are hosting a cooking class for children ages 5-13. Kids can learn to make snacks, main dishes, and deserts.

All Locations – Today, at all Home Depots, they have a free monthly workshop for kids ages 5-12. The workshop teaches them basic DIY skills and tool safety. The children get to take home their craft and a free Kids Workshop kit.

Burbank – Every Saturday from 8am – 12:30pm in Downtown Burbank check out the Farmer’s Market. They have a wide selection of fruits, vegetables, and other fare arriving fresh from local farms!

Glendale – The Americana at Brand will be celebrating the Lunar New Year with cultural on-stage performances, lion dances, a ten-person dragon, stilt walkers, acrobats and arts and crafts. 2pm – 5pm.

Griffith Park – The Observatory has a Free Public Star Party starting at 2pm. The Los Angeles Astronomical Society and the Los Angeles Sidewalk Astronomers give you a chance to look at the sun, moon, and planets. Free event.

La Canada Flintridge – The Descanso Gardens introduces the “Empress of Winter” with their Chado Tea Tasting from 10am-2pm for children and adults.

Los Angeles – The Original Vintage Expo brings you the best in style, design, and vintage pieces. This is a place where vintage collections from the 18th Century and 1900’s can be adored.

Sun Feb 12

Tarzana – A Faery Hunt celebrates Valentine’s Day with a Fairy Tea Party at the Tarzana Community and Cultural Center. For ages 3-10 they are providing music, dancing, fun, and prizes!
