Here we are…the first day of March! This year is flying by! Looks like we have some sunshine in our forecast for the next couple of weeks…so get outta the house and make some memories! Check out today’s Upcoming Events blog for things-to-do in the San Fernando Valley!

 

 

Sat March 4

All Locations – Every Saturday, at all Williams-Sonoma locations, they are hosting a cooking class for children ages 5-13. Kids can learn to make snacks, main dishes, and deserts.

All Locations – Today, at all Home Depots, they have a free monthly workshop for kids ages 5-12. The workshop teaches them basic DIY skills and tool safety. The children get to take home their craft and a free Kids Workshop kit.

Burbank – Every Saturday from 8am – 12:30pm in Downtown Burbank check out the Farmer’s Market. They have a wide selection of fruits, vegetables, and other fare arriving fresh from local farms!

Descanso Gardens –  The popular Cherry Blossom Festival is here with live music, origami, good food and beautiful blooms throughout the garden. Advanced tickets are required. Visit their website for more details.

Griffith Park – The Observatory has a Free Public Star Party starting at 2pm. The Los Angeles Astronomical Society and the Los Angeles Sidewalk Astronomers give you a chance to look at the sun, moon, and planets. Free event.

Sun March 5

South Pasadena – 626 Golden Streets has rescheduled their event from June 2016 to today (due to wild fires last year). 17+ miles of open street for you to roam, bike, skate, and support local businesses and restaurants.

Fri March 10

Pasadena – Art Night is the semi-annual event where  Norton Simon Museum, the Jackie Robinson Community CenterKidspace Children’s Museum and Pasadena Central Library open their doors! Starts at 6pm.

Sat March 11

Ventura – So…this one isn’t in the SFV but if you feel like taking a drive it might make for a fun day! The County of Ventura’s St. Patrick Day Parade! With Irish dancers, bands, antique vehicles…and anything else that resembles Ireland. Parade begins at 10am.

and don’t forget Daylight Savings…Sunday, March 12!
