The holidays are finally here and the weather is at least a few degrees cooler here in the SFV. The next week kicks off all the festivities and holiday fun for the last few weeks of 2016. I know many of us go out of town for the holidays…but some of us also have family visiting. If you’re here in the SFV for the next couple of weeks, here’s a few things that you need to check out!

Fri Nov 18th

Los Angeles – Here’s a big one for us L.A. people! The L.A. Auto Show starts today and runs until Sunday at the Los Angeles Convention Center. If you love cars and can’t wait to see what the future brings…you don’t want to miss this! Tickets and more info are available here

Los Angeles – This is my favorite for this time of year and it’s a great way to kick off the holiday spirit! L.A. Zoo Lights begin today and there are a few specific days within the next couple of weeks they will be offering an online special.  So get out your coats and blankets for the kids and be amazed by Los Angeles’ brightest tradition.

Burbank – If you need more fun in your life, there will be a fun filled “Holiday in the Park” at the Magnolia Park in Burbank from 5pm-7pm. There will be there will be snow bounce houses for the kids, characters, shopping, car show, dancing, and of course that line up of food trucks!

Sat Nov 19th

Canoga Park – Enjoy a crisp fall morning with fresh produce, good eats and handmade items at the Main Street Canoga Park Farmers Market.

Chatsworth – Every Saturday the Arcade Warehouse showroom is open as an Arcade for the public to enjoy, with over 60 games free to play.

Northridge – Free crafts for kids at all Lakeshore locations.

Los Angeles – Watson Adventures Wizard School Scavenger Hunt for Harry Potter fans at the Getty Center at 4pm. Tickets available here.

North HollywoodNorth Hollywood Art’s District Farmers Market is a great place to sample the flavors of local farmers and artisans.

Pasadena – Vroman’s favorite story time guy, Mr. Steve, shares books with little ones every Wednesday and Saturday morning in the kids’ section of the store.

Various LA LocationsHome Depot offers a free monthly workshop for kids ages 5 – 12. The workshops teach basic DIY skills and tool safety. Kids go home with their craft and a free Kids Workshop apron, commemorative pin, and certificate of achievement.

Studio City Lung Force Walk L.A. Come out and raise awareness and funds to fight against lung cancer.

Pasadena – Last weekend for the Pasadena Model Railroad Club Fall Open House.

Fri Nov 25th

La Canada Flintridge – Enchanted Forest of Light at the Descanso Gardens. This will be the first time they have done this and it’s supposed to be spectacular!

Eagle Rock – Small Shop Saturday. Get your Holiday shopping done early and support these small business all day in Eagle Rock.

Lakeview Terrace – Everything really is awesome: Discovery Cube LA’s newest exhibit takes visitors on a travel adventure with LEGO. Kids can go anywhere over land, sea, and air by creating extraordinary vehicles to move through different types of terrain, including mountains, oceans, jungles, deserts and more.  Builders can suit-up as a pilot, ship captain, or race car driver to find inspiration for their vehicles.

Hollywood – Here comes Santa! Get out and enjoy one of the most spirited parades of the year at the Hollywood Christmas Parade!

Sylmar – Science of the Gingerbread at the Discover Cube Los Angeles.
