Haven’t made plans for Valentine’s Day yet? Even though it’s tomorrow, there’s still time to enjoy the day at the last minute and on a budget. Plus, these ideas include alternatives to the usual romance-themed activities and can include your family and friends rather than just one Valentine.

Grand Park Lovers Rock – From 6 – 11 pm, throw down a picnic blanket, hit the food trucks, and “groove to the soulful vibes of Lovers Rock reggae,” featuring DUB CLUB. And it has FREE admission!

• Stay home and have a Palentine’s cookout! Whether you have a designated Valentine or not, everyone loves a good cookout. Invite some friends and family over for a chill night.

• If your kids are your Valentines, have a special family night. Fix their favorite foods and some Valentine-themed treats. Then break out the board games, take a walk, or go to the park. Do something that’s a little different and a little special, and it will mean a lot to your kids.

• Celebrate Galentine’s Day. Get the gals together for dinner, a movie, or a night out. Get your Leslie Knope on! (“Parks and Recreation,” remember?)

• Treat Yourself! It’s another “Parks and Recreation” tradition, so it must be fun. Treat yourself to something you really enjoy. Get yourself a special sweet treat, buy a book you’ve been wanting to read, go see a movie you want to see, or do something else you’ve been wanting to do but haven’t been able to make the time.
