Bright blue sky with wispy clouds over a huge California field of orange poppy flowers and mountains in the distance

The spring blooms of Southern California are here! While other areas across the US are dealing a polar vortex, those of us in sunny California can frolic among the wildflowers. And we’re not just talking about a burst of color here and there – we’re talking fields of gorgeous blooms.

According to DesertUSA.com, “The wildflowers have started their bloom early this year in many areas. It looks like it’s going to be a very good year for wildflowers, maybe even a super bloom.”

“Where are there wildflowers near me?” you may be asking. We’re here to help! Just remember to stay on the trails and out of the flowers, as tempting as it may be.
