Summer Volunteering Opportunities in LA | Encino and Sherman Oaks Real Estate Agent and Houses for Sale

Summer is the time you have your holidays, sipping cocktails at the beach, having fun with the people you love but this summer we suggest you try something different and get out of your comfort zone.

After all, John F. Kennedy spoke words of wisdom at his inauguration: “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.”

Volunteering is the best way to do just that: have fun, gain experience and help those in need in order to improve their quality of living. After our Memorial Day Volunteering Blog on dozens of volunteering events around the city, readers have been asking for more, eager to become volunteers and we are thrilled to see such a big interest. This is why we dedicated today’s blog to volunteering.

How to choose the best field?

If you are just starting out, seeing so many opportunities can be an overwhelming experience especially if you want to help everyone with everything. Well, you might want to take a step back and take this one organization at a time.

Do you admire arts and support the cultural development in the city? Do you have a soft spot for animals? Or maybe you have an interest in teaching. Think about what you love doing the most, determine your interests and have in mind that volunteering isn’t your typical job so you need to enjoy and give a 100% of what you do. Now it’s time to search for the ideal volunteer organization. And this is when we step in.

Consider the following list a starter compilation of awesome volunteer opportunities if you’re looking to give back to the city of angels.
