Fri Jan 23rd

DTLA-Help teach your child about nature at an early age.  Mommy, Me and the River will do just that.  Explore nature right in your own backyard.  Take a nice walk and be home for nap time.  Event is free.
DTLA-The Angel City Brewery is being awesome once again.  They are throwing a party with snow.  Come on down for some brews, food, games and live music.  Event is affordably free.
San Fernando-Teen dance clubs are back.  Klub Kore is for teens only.  Let the kiddos dance the night away for $5.
South Pasadena- If you didn’t get a chance to see the tribute art for Hayao Miyazaki & Studio Ghibli, it’s back.  Cookies & Cream is once again hosting this event. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.  Event is free.
West LA-Selfie was officially entered into the dictionary and now it’s time to kill it.  Red Pip Gallery presents Kill Your Selfie. This interesting exhibit takes a look at the cultural phenomenon.  Event is free
West LA- The best month to see planets is January and the best place to see them is the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon.  See a Sky Full of Planets and take a memorable hike that will leave you awestruck at the skies above.

Sat Jan 24th

DTLA-It’s opening day for a new art exhibit in Downtown call Agents Provocateurs. It visits all the stereotypical things associated with the skateboarding culture.  Event is free and thought provoking.
Eagle Rock-A few good teachers are needed for Charter Schools along with principals and office staff.  The event is presented to the public by the We Teach Charter Career Fair.  Come on down, tell a friend, make a difference in a child’s life.
Glendale- Scoutorama is on.  Come on down to Verdugo Park for some rock climbing and outdoorsy fun.  Event is free
Griffith Park-The Griffith Observatory wants you to invite you to a star party.  See all the out of this world gear and talk to some experts in training.  Event is free.
North Hollywood-The Art directors Guild is proud to announce an exhibit entitled 800 Abstract Art at the Gallery 800. Stop by, enjoy the view and have a drink.  Event is free

Sun Jan 25th

DTLA-Take the family on a nature walk right in the middle of downtown LA.  River Life explores the natural things all around us in the LA River.  Discover how to be a better care taker of the environment while getting out in the beautiful sunshine.  Event is free.
Hollywood- Looking for a free family event.  Look no further than Barnsdall Park. They have fun into the family event by making it an art Sunday.  Paint and create with the ones you live with and maybe like them a little more.
West LA- The Hammer Museum wants to know if you want to be a superhero for a day. It doesn’t to be a superhero, you can be a vampire or a snowman.  Event is fun and free.
West LA- Silverlining Designer Resale is having a mega storewide sale.  Come on down and shop, shop, shop.  Proceeds go to help young people with special needs.
West LA- Loyola Marymount University would like to invite all the children to come on down for some music.  LMU presents Music for Children.  This free event features children’s classic like Mother Goose and The New Moon.
Woodland Hills- Pierce College is holding a Vintage Market.  Admission is $3 for adults and kids over 12 but 2 for 1 admission if you mention the ad from the hyperlink.  Stop on by to buy something special for your Valentine.

DTLA-It’s almost the weekend.  What better way to refocus for the afternoon than with a little lunchtime yoga.  Grand Park has you covered with a free session.  Come on out and enjoy a peaceful break.
Glendale-Erin Hanson is having her Winter Open House.  Wine, refreshments and art, sounds lovely doesn’t it? Come on down to see some beautiful oil paintings, plus a drawing to win a painting.  Event is free.
Northridge-CSUN’s Oviatt Library is presenting a special event entitled California’s Call.  This collection paints California as the land of milk and honey during the 19th century.  Event is free.
North Hollywood- Dubbed America’s best variety show, Elixir is coming to the NoHo Art District.  This show is for the grown and sexy.  Event is free.

Sat Jan 31st

DTLA-If you love a good classic then come on down to the Electric Dusk Drive-in to see Breakfast at Tiffany’s.  Who isn’t a Holly Golightly fan?
DTLA-Who knew that DTLA had nature?  Come on down to the Grotto Amphitheater to experience wildlife in the middle of the city.  Event is free
Pasadena-Gung hay fat chow! It’s the year of the sheep.  It’s Chinese New Year time.  Come on down to The Pacific Asia Museum and enjoy some culture.  See beautiful dancers, art work, crafts and much more.  The event is free.
Pasadena-The Pasadena Museum of California Art would like you to stop by and come in for a free museum day. Come and get some culture as you critique some modern art.
San Marino-Kids these days can work phone and other hand held devices like second nature.  Come one down to the Crowell Library to have the questions answered you have about your smart phone or other devices.  Event is free
West LA-The Craft and Folk Art Museum would like you to come on down and check them out.  It a free day at the museum.  See what all the fuss is about.
West LA- It’s free entrance at the Skirball Center today and they have a special attraction.  KCET is having its 50th anniversary and to celebrate they want you to see their new show, Space Racers for free.
West LA- The Getty is looking at world religion and the effects in the exhibit call Buddhism in the World.  This event ties in with the celebration of Chinese New Year.  Event is free.

Sun Feb 1st

Beverly Hills-Celebrate Chinese New Year in style with The Saban Theater kicking off the fun. There will be performers and the dragon dance. Tickets are free but there’s a processing fee of $4.75.
DTLA-Come one come all, it’s the Great Rock N Roll Flea Market. The Regent is the spot for the new monthly flea market featuring the musical and the weird. There will be bloody Mary’s and mimosa on tap while a DJ spins the tunes. Entrance is $2.
Hollywood-It’s a beautiful day to spend with family so come to Barnsdall Park to do some art. This free event is for the whole family ages 3 and up. Soak up some sun and memories.
Northridge- Above and Beyond is a new documentary about the Israeli war of Independence. There will be a Q & A after the film by the Jewish Studies Group of CSUN. Event is free.
West LA-The Museum of Tolerance would like you to spend the day at the museum on them. Come in and celebrate Museum Free for All Day. This event give everyone a chance to enjoy and discover.
