Beverly Hills – The Paley Center is hosting the South Park 20 Experience. 20 Seasons of foul-mouthed genius will be on display in the form of inspired art, clips and episodes and so much more!

DWTN – Exposition ParkThe Natural History Museum will be showcasing their Extreme Flyers Sleepover. Participants learn about the high-flying reptiles of the traveling exhibit Pterosaurs: Flight in the Age of Dinosaurs, and can view the exhibit at night. Event runs from 6:30pm on Friday until 9am Saturday morning.

Hollywood – The Hollywood Bowl presents world renowned composer and Star Wars Soundtrack God – John Williams for a weekend long event. Enjoy a pre-John Williams performance with maestro David Newman conducting the series hits along with clips from all movies.

Calabasas – Malibu Creek State Park is hosting their weekend Junior Rangers program. Participants (ages 7-12) explore ecology, history, safety, plants, and wildlife in some of our activities.

DWTN – Glassel Park – Head to the LA River for the second annual Friend of the LA River Fish Derby :Off Tha Hook Catch & Release. This free day which means no licenses are required to fish on the river, but to participate in FoLAR’s Catch & Release competition, it’s $35. The two categories are for weight and rarest species, and biologists will be on hand to document every fish caught. Intriguing. Los FelizGlaze Fire a paint-your-own pottery studio in Los Feliz, celebrates its first year in business with a Birthday Celebration on Labor Day Weekend. Hollywood – El Capitan – The El Capitan presents a special engagement of Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in honor of the film’s 25th anniversary. Miracle Mile –The Craft and Folk Art Museum is holding a craftlab workshop this Sunday: Printing with Bubbles: use dyed bubbles to create unique and fun patterns on paper.

Pasadena Kidspace Children’s Museum wants you to work on your best “arrr” for this Talk Like a Pirate Day celebration, with treasure map making, a cork boat-making workshop and a pirate band performance.

Pasadena & Santa MonicaGreen Brooms Music Academy is offering a special day of $10 private music lessons at both its Santa Monica and South Pasadena locations. Children and adults at all experience levels are welcome. Lessons available include voice, drums, guitar, bass, ukulele, violin, viola, cello, banjo, flute, trombone, songwriting and music theory.

September 11th Memorial Events

It is a day that will live in our memories forever. September 11th, 2016 marks the 15th anniversary of the horrible 9-11 attacks in New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania. This day is a dark spot on our country’s history, but also serves as a reminder that we are strong and by working together…we will overcome and prosper.


Sherman OaksLos Angeles Fire Department Fire Station 88 will be holding a service on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 6:30 PM as we Never Forget 15 years later at Los Angeles Fire Department Fire Station 88 9/11 Memorial Fountain. Several elected officials, firefighters four at 9:11 and the famous RiverOaks chorus performance. There is no charge to attend all are welcome.
